About Us

During Spring of 2009, a core group of bikers initiated the idea of forming a cycling club. Motivation for this came from the fact that Bayfield and Ashland counties offer some of the best cycling in the state. As a club we identified six goals:

-improve existing trails and bike routes

-develop new trails and routes in the North Coast region

-provide safe bike routes for riders of all ages and skill levels

-work in cooperation with local governments to develop safe biking lanes and trails

-network with other biking groups

-encourage those who cycle in our region to join the NCCA and help us achieve these goals

Since it's inception we have contributed to city and township planning documents, work closely with Wisconsin DOT on safety issues, supported other cycle organizations and placed signage; ''Share The Road'' along popular bike routes.
