Driving Directions:
2 1/2 miles northwest of Bayfield on County Highway J. Take Washington Avenue (County I) west (up the hill) to the stop sign at the junction with Hwy J. Turn right--1/2 mile to the top of the hill!
About Us
Third, fourth, and fifth generation are now operating the farm which came to Bayfield in 1908. Greenhouse, nursery, orchard, and cidery including a retail farm store. A beautiful overlook of Lake Superior from the top of a historic 1928 Sears mail-order barn. Specializing in field-grown perennials which can be ordered online. Includes the famous Knight Orchard--one of the first orchards in Bayfield with some trees over 100 years old. Homemade jams, jellies, and apple butter are made on-site in a state-approved kitchen. Also the home of Apfelhaus Cidery serving hand-crafted hard cider. Tasting available June through October.
Take a hike on our walking trail and take your time wandering through three floors of our historic barn--you'll see Grandpa's tractor, can, and hat collections as well as other photos and farm relics from today and yesteryear. At the same time, enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Superior, the Apostle Islands, and upper Michigan. Bring your camera and binoculars--discover why we are known for our ''Superior View!''
