Garden House is located on a five acre wooded lot in the village of Port Wing. It was built in 1967 by a local commercial fisherman and has been completely remodeled.
The grounds, deck, and our Garden paths are shared with guests. For the reader, there is a book glade under a canopy of spruce. For the hiker, woodland paths. For the photographer, gardens to capture. Or just sit on our deck and listen to the birds.
We feature a two room suite with outside entrance and private bath. The main room has a queen bed and a lounge area; an adjoining room has twin beds for your guests. Children are most welcome.
The Red room, on the second floor, is air conditioned and could be described as a large master bedroom. It has a queen bed, two chairs and a private bath with shower. The double picture windows overlook our front gardens.
The Peach Room is across the hall from the Red Room and has a full bed, corner windows overlooking our pond gardens. The private bath has a tub/shower and is adjacent to the room.
Port Wing is noted for its State Natural Area beaches and three art galleries. The Port Bar and Restaurant's most popular specials are Friday Fish, Tuesday Mexican, Wednesday Wings, and Saturday Prime Rib. The Cafe features their made from scratch soups and desserts, as well as a regular lunch menu.
Two blocks SouthEast on Sunnyside Lane from Highway 13, about a block East of The Store and the Pottery Shop and Hoth Lee Art Gallery. Sign in the yard; flag on the mail box.
