With a population of just 611 (2000 census), Bayfield is the smallest city in Wisconsin and is the gateway to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Voted the ''The Best Little Town in the Midwest'' by the Chicago Tribune, Bayfield is a world famous freshwater sailing, boating and kayaking destination on Lake Superior.
Bayfield prides itself on it's conservation efforts and is one of the Greenest Communities in Wisconsin with more Travel Green certified businesses than any other community in Wisconsin. Bayfield was also one the first communities in the state to pass an eco-municipality agreement.

Take State Highway 13 in to Bayfield. Turn south on First Street from Rittenhouse Avenue. Two blocks down on the right accross from the Apostle Islands Marina.
