  • About

Recreation and Fitness Resources is your Bayfield-based non-profit organization that brings you the Bayfield Area Recreation Center and its programs and classes, Aspire Martial Arts, North Coast Community Sailing, Point to LaPointe Swim, Peel Out Trail Run, Bayfield Winter Festival, and 1% for Recreation.

The Bayfield Area Recreation Center is a true community center for the Apostle Islands region, hosting 30,000 visits a year. Featuring an indoor saline pool, whirlpool, sauna, fitness room, racquetball court, and skate park, the Rec Center is a vital resource for the health and wellness of our community.

North Coast Community Sailing program focuses on serving our whole community. We provide opportunities for youth, teens, adults and families to jump into the exciting sport of sailing and then develop their skills through classes, drop-in instruction, open sailing, instructor and leadership training, racing and other events.

Aspire Martial Arts program is structured to not only train students in the art of Tae Kwon Do but to also build focus and teach self-discipline and self respect. We teach our students to realize the importance of goal setting and personal achievement.

We host local events each year to support active living and promote the Bayfield area as a destination for recreation. Our races have become regional events and attract hundreds of participants to boost the local economy and help local businesses.

Check out our new website, with all of our facilities, programs, and events in one place and on one calendar.
