Job Description
Positions available for Red Cross certified lifeguards. Those that wish to become a lifeguard the Bayfield Recreation Center will be offering a Red Cross certified lifeguarding course from August 25 - 27 (class times below).

Red Cross Certified Lifeguarding Class:
Friday, August 25 from 5pm-10pm 
Saturday, August 26 from 8am-5pm 
Sunday, August 27 from 8am-5pm

The training and certification provides participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until EMS personnel take over. The Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of members and guests. Monitors pool activities to ensure pool rules are being followed, maintains constant surveillance of all patrons in the pool and on the pool deck. In the event of an emergency a lifeguard would utilize their knowledge and skill learned in a Red Cross lifeguarding course to assist or save a distressed patron/s.
