Job Description: Providing a blend of therapeutic and relaxation massage therapy in a day-spa setting. Massage lengths range from 30 minute - 120 minute length session. Therapists are encouraged to incorporate their own style and training into each session while still staying in the parameters of the client’s specific goals for that session. As a busy day spa in a tourist town, many of the summer clientele are one or two-time clients, so effective communication is a necessity with each client from the moment they walk through the door until the time they leave. Shifts are flexible depending on therapist’s availability with most therapists choosing to be scheduled as part-time (3 - 4 shifts a week with up to 5 hours of a massage a shift).
Compensation: Therapists are hired as independent contractors and as such receive a commission per session. Starting hire commission rate is $40/hr plus gratuities.
Requirements: Therapists must hold a valid WI Massage Therapy License and provide their own professional liability insurance. Training and experience in Hot Stone massage and Pre- Natal Massage is helpful but not necessary. Some hospitality job experience is also helpful for transition to work in a day spa setting.
