Madeline Island Visitor Appreciation Weekend
Visit Madeline Island June 3–4 for the Annual Visitor Appreciation Weekend!
Guests can begin their visit to the island at the Madeline Island Museum to learn of the rich history of Madeline Island and surrounding areas (open 10am-5pm). Experience more than 300 years of Island history, from Ojibwe lifeways to the fur trade, from missionaries to loggers, from boat building to fishing and more! Special children's exhibits and activities.

*THE MADELINE ISLAND FERRY LINE WILL PROVIDE FREE RETURN PASSENGER FARE IF YOU PICK UP A VOUCHER FROM THE MUSEUM!
(Ferry passenger fare is valid on June 3 or 4 only, for return to Bayfield. Vehicles and bicycles must pay regular ferry fare.)
Leave your car on the mainland. FREE shuttle service to Big Bay Town Park offered between 10:30am and 5pm on Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4. Last shuttle will leave the Town Park at 5pm.

After exploring the museum guests are encouraged to explore the natural beauty of Big Bay State Park which is located six and a half miles from downtown La Pointe.
During visitor appreciation weekend, vehicles are admitted to the State Park for free. Click here to learn more.
